Title says it all. Anyone have this happen? Only option I see is drilling it out. Thanks.

Take it out and see or it can be disassembled. I had a rugged ridge lock box that just had 6 or 8 screws holding the bottom plate on.

I can't remember if I have a RR or BT (whichever they had at my local 4WP) but it's given me trouble opening. Lots of patience and key jiggling did the trick. I haven't had time to take it out of the jeep to see what's wrong, but I won't trust it until I do. So, all I'd have to say, is keep trying... mine opened eventually.

Ahh, I had the same problem when I received my "used" one from amazon warehouse. When you look in there are 3 "sections" you have to get through and the last one wasn't lined up. I used a small screwdriver to twist the section to get it lined up for the key. Once open I took the back plate off and tightened the nut on the back of the lock to sandwich the pieces together more. Not problems since, it's been about a month. Hope this is some help!

Thanks for all the insight. The key goes in and it turns both directions but won't open. I think the last response was in the money. I will let you all know. Thanks in advance.

I have this issue sometimes. It's simple. I put the key in till it won't go in anymore and twist while still pushing the key in until everything lines up and the key goes in all the way. Then I can open it. I just thought it was a common thing. I figured it out the first time I had the "issue" and I can open it within 2 secs now.
