Junkyard Axle Questions.
I ran across this axle today as I was picking through one of the local junkyards. It is a Dana 60 from a 01 Ford 250 van. It has disk breaks and I'm 99% certain it has full float axles.
I have read and done research on junkyard axle swaps, and havent yielded much luck for a 60. The majority of the results are for a 14 bolt or Sterling.
Im not majorly concerned about the sensors as I have a 2008, unless there is an easy fix. My question is has anyone done a 60 conversion like this. And what if any hurdles do I need to look out for. The only reason Im leaning towards this axle is because the guy told me he would sell it for $100
Thanks

You can tell full float from the axle shaft bolts on the side. Make sure its a d60 i dont recall all the year/make variations. I can work fine even with abs. Artec even has a kit for it now. I am running a junkyard d60 but my rear was from a dodge.
I just forgot to look at the axle shaft to see. Like I said im almost sure it is. Does anyone make the tone rings for this rear?
Are you running tone rings in yours? What other modifications did you need to be abke to bolt into your rig other than new bracketry. Where there any clearance issues?
