Lift Kit - Tire Questions
I just ordered a 3.25 Rough Country lift kit for my 2012 Unlimited. Do I need to be concerned with drive shaft issues? Regarding wheels and tires I plan to order a package deal from carid with 20 x 10 Fuel wheels and Toyo Open Country AT II's. 35 x 12.50 x 20 Question is do I need to be concerned with the air pressure sensors? The seem to be more of a pain than they are worth. Please advise, thank you.
Driveshaft problems aren't a straight-forward issue. Depends on the overall setup, actual lift height achieved, onroad only or disconnected in the rocks, just plain ole luck. Make a habit of crawling underneath and actually looking at the joints!! Also look into the exhaust spacers many people use on 2012+ jk's. Maybe talk to a shop about re-routing the exhaust instead of a spacer? And go ahead and check into a new driveshaft just so you have the info for the future.
Tpms sensors are personal preference. Lots of us are running without them. If the dash light bugs you, many of the programmers/tuners will turn it off.

I just finished installing a 3.25" lift kit from Rough Country on my 2012 JK. The install went fairly smooth with just one glitch. They supply brake line extension brackets for each corner. I got them all installed except the front passenger side where there just was not enough brake line to make it happen. Anyone know what the solution is? I'm sure I'm not the first one to run across this problem. On a separate note, this was the most time I spent under the vehicle and was somewhat shocked to discover that the underside is painted that dark metallic limish green. The exterior of the jeep is black. Is this common? It had a clean car fax when I bought it, no accidents, and does not look like it had ever been repainted. Any info will be appreciated. Will post a photo once wheels and tires are installed.
