Default D30 to D44 Swap Questions

In about a month I am going to upgrade my D30 to a Rubi D44 front axle. My question is what all can I salvage off my 30 for the swap. I know my knuckles, brakes and steering components will transfer, but I was wondering if my hubs, stock driveshaft and driveshaft pinion yoke would swap as well?

The hubs and driveshaft will be fine. The outer 32sp axle shafts are the same on both, so they can be used.

The joints and inner shafts (27sp on the d30, 30sp on the d44) can not be swapped. The gears/open carrier can not be swapped.

If you do not already have the locker and shafts, you might look at one of the aftermarket options rather than going factory.

Not sure what your plan is, but I'd be willing to bet it would be cheaper to sell your axle and buy a front D44. You can buy a new crate rubi axle for around $1700 and sell yours for about $600. Anyway, just an option.

Are you saying I can sell my stock D30 for $600?
I already bought an empty D44 with shafts, that was sleeved and gusseted I just need gears.

Is that a complete D44 front from caliper to caliper?

I bought a new create complete rubi D44 with E lockers and regeared to 4.56, just add discs and calipers. Delivered $2100 and sold my D30 for $800 in 10 days after swap (Craig's List)

An Ebay seller is the one Invest was referring to. I didn't save a link to it, and not sure if his ad is still up. But he custom builds from just the housing, all internals were included, with gears of your choice. Then pay shipping to where ever you are. I did not catch whether the hubs/brakes were included, but if not just swap them over from your d30.

X2 on what was said above. This mystical eBay seller does exist as I drove 5 hours to pick up my D44 and shake the man's hand at a price of $1600.
