Default Trailer and Off-Road Trailer Build ?s

I've got a couple of questions regarding trailers and off-road trailer build. Currently I have a 5x10 AND a 5x14 all steel utility trailer with expanded metal sides and drop gate. I need to do something with one of these trailers, but can't decide on which one to keep. The 5x10 has some small features that I like over the 5x14 trailer. However, they aren't anything that I could have done for not too much costs. Reason tells me to keep the 5x14 for more options for size of loads but I like the 5x10 for its lighter weight and already having the features I like. Any thoughts on which one you would keep?

In regards to an off-road trailer, what size do you think is best? I thought about taking the 5x14 trailer (since I believe it's axles and lug pattern will fit my stock take off wheels/tires with some fender modifications) and turning it into an off-road trailer. I would obviously want to cut it down, but I wasn't sure how long to leave it. Also, how wide? It is 5 foot wide on the inside of the trailer so with the wheels, I would suspect the overall width to be near 7 foot (outside to outside of wheels).

Default Trailer

I just traded a pick up in for a JKU, now I'm thinking about a trailer just for light duty use. I talked to a trailer company about a 4x6 utility trailer but with hubs for 5 on 5 bolt pattern so I could use regular rims instead of little bitty trailer wheels and a foot longer tongue. Longer tongue so I can carry a kayak later. My plan is to take two 16"stamped steel wheels with tires to them when they start to build it . We will see

I used a M101A1 for mine. It is the same size as a long bed truck.

What is your axle length/track width as compared to the JK, Whats your bed width, and frame width? I getting ready to build a trailer for mine based loosely on the M416. I have a 90x52 frame to start with and need some input.

Nice Limb Risers dude!!!

I can vouch on the M416, we picked this bad boy up a few weeks ago;
Spring over lift, 37s w/ Methods, fenders, and currently in paint now!! I'm really happy with the size and appearance.

I really like those fenders, did you custom make those? Are you planning on a lid? and what type?
