Default What suspension lift do I have?

Hey guys and gals.

I bought my JK in January and the guy I bought it from had no idea what was done to it. I know it's lifted, but I can't figure out what has been done after looking at all the cheap lift options. I'm fitting 35s on 4.63" backspaced wheels. I have a Warn full width bumper I just added and it's sagging a lot. It looks like I may have only 2" lift in the front after the bumper. The steering stabilizer is RC, but the springs, shocks, and shock mounts are all stock as far as I can tell. I can't find a spacer kit that seems to fit the bill.

Does anybody have pointers on what to look for?

Stock components with a spacer lift. Not really important what kind it is as they are all really the same. Some have manufacturer marking on them some don't.

Yep all stock with a spacer. Hopefully you at least have longer swaybar links up front.

That's what I was thinking. Since I have an auto, should I consider a 3" lift? I would be counting on the weight of the bumpers and 35" tire on the back to drop that to 2.5 to avoid driveshaft issues.

Depends on what coils you go with.

You shouldn't have any serious drive shaft issues. I have a 3.5" on my JK and have no issues. I did put in exhaust spacers to push the exhaust cross over back to help with additional clearance. If you have a 4 door, the best option is the AFE Y-Pipe - it moves the exhaust cross over behind the transmission cross member.

Most aftermarket coils use higher spring rates and are sized for jeeps with winches and armor. I would stick to one of the "premium" brands in the 2"-2.5" height range to run your size tires. I would be looking into some proper shocks and learn about bump stop set up as well as from the photo yours are not set up correctly and you have less articulation then a factory jeep.

All you need to get for sway at links is new ones for the rear, you can reuse the stock rear ones in the front.
