As anyone gone to island beach state oark for a say or overnight there website isn't the best and I am looking to take a trip any information would be helpful

I haven't been there in a long time, but as far as I know you need a sport fishing permit to enter the park after dusk and you have to be actively fishing at all times, yes the ranger does patrol the beach and most of them will give you crap about not actively fishing, so I don't think camping on the beach is possible......Things may have changed though I moved out of NJ in 99.....
