Default 2008 vs 2015 OEM front drive shaft

Hello,
Someone is selling his brand new front drive shaft off of a 2015 Unlimited automatic. I have a 2008 manual Unlimited. Are the two drive shafts identical/interchangeable?
Thank you.

Fronts are the same between all year JK/JKU, but rear JK/JKU are different length but the same over the years.

I actually believe there's a difference with the new autos. When I ordered mine for my 13 I had to choose 12+

A Jeep dealership person told me that the auto and manual drive shafts [=parts numbers] are different. Any confirmations of that?

You do have to select auto or Manual when buying an aftermarket as well

Drive shafts for auto and manual transmissions are different lengths. Late JKs vs early JKs (different auto transmissions) are also different lengths but are close enough they may work.

So, you're saying the auto vs manual lengths are too different to work for sure?

You should be just fine. Like tooadcanced said, you don't specify this when buying after market. Also, my '14 shaft fit on my friends '08.
