Default Upgrading my 09 JK

I've finally been given the green light to make modifications on my JK. Limit is $1,800 dollars and the three main things I want to do is lift it 2.5 inches, front and back bumpers. Everything else would be just nice to have. I just put new shows on her. She is wearing BF Goodrich KO2s. Please give me any suggestions. Thank you.

What do you intend on using your jeep for? A 2.5 lift can vary in price from $175 budget boost to a $1500-2000 full-on lift with coils, arms etc. bumper are generally anywhere from $400-1500 each.
Will you be mounting a winch? Want to retain fog lights? How about a tow hitch receiver or tire carrier?

If you want quality, For bumpers I'd check out poison spyder, and metal cloak / Teraflex / AEV / Rock krawler / old man emu for a lift kit.

Of course go to the sticky "my thoughts on lifts" and see what you need. There isn't enough information to give our "expert" opinion. But when I got my wife's '10 I wanted to go over the top and mod the thing to death. Because of the sticky all I have done was cut fenders and throw on some 35s. The ride is still "stock" haven't made any changes to the geometry and for me that is nice. I bought an 09 with a BB on it and 33s. I would rather drive the wife's jeep than mine when we run into town or any long hauls. As for the bumpers... are you looking for armor or just want something that looks cool? You can stubby your front bumper and throw a winch plate on it, hid the winch inside the bumper... there are a lot of great mods on the forum and for cheap! I think if I had $1,800 to throw at my jeep it would be on skid plates, deferent rock rails, or axel protection (gussets, sleeves) then I would wheel the piss out of it.

Can't go wrong with a regear.

X2..don't put the cart in front of the horse. I have plans for a lift and larger tires, but a regear will be first priority.

I do plan to get a winch. Currently looking at purchasing a 2.5 Terraflex lift with shocks. Here are the three items I'm currently looking to buy. Thoughts please.

My mistake it's not a Terraflex, it's Skyjacker. I had the TF in my cart and then found the SJ.

Just make sure you do your research on Skyjacker. It's cheap to buy now but you will probably want to buy more parts later to get a good ride. I'd bite the bullet and go with a quality complete kit.

Thanks Afpilot... I'm really partial to the Terraflex, but need to keep the price in mind. I don't want to blow my wod on the lift.
