I cant think of any specialty tools I used to put my lift on other than a torque wrench I think everything I needed was in this set of tools
Craftsman.com

with that being said I didn't have to cut anything for my kit (rk maxtravel) and because I hate brake fluid and don't like messing with brakes in general I had a local shop swap my brake lines for $50

Check the directions that came with the kit or review this write-up, this should pretty much cover you. Depending on what components you're installing, you can get by with basic hand tools. Good luck!

A set of ratcheting wrenches will save you lots of heart ache. Primarily 10mm, 18mm, and 21mm. You'll also need various sockets for your torque wrench. You're going to need a couple jacks and jack stands too. If your lift has Rancho shocks, install the rears where the adjustment knob faces up, not down. Will save you having to replace the knob in the future like I did.

19mm,21mm,18mm,15mm, and 10mm open box wrenches along with the same sizes (except for the 10mm) in 1/2" socket with a 1/2" torque wrench so you can properly torque down the bolts. A pointed pry bar in 12"-18" length will help to line up arms and bolt holes. A 15mm ratchet wrench that has an adjustable head will help with the front shock nut which can be tough to get to.

Good luck with the install.

Add 22mm to that ^^ I use a 24 inch breaker bar wedged up against the ground to torque my bolts. A 12 point socket works best, and try to hold the bolt end when torquing. you will want to loosen all control arm bolts, track bar bolts. After you get the coils in, give the jeep a good shake. Proceeds to torque all the bolts at ride height. Good luck!!!!!

Does that kit come with cam bolts? You might want to look into control arm drop brackets or front lower control arms. The steering might be flighty at speed without caster angle in check.

Thanks for all the input. Will I need something to collapse the springs? The lady called me and said the rear bilstein shocks are back ordered so they are sending Maxxs shocks until the Bilsteins come in.

Anything else I should upgrade while I am installing the kit?
