The Superchips Flashpaq for my 3.6 has an option you can select if you've changed out your factory intake and/or exhaust. What's this really for and is there really that much of a difference if you don't select either or both? (Saying you have either or both)

Well shoot! I've been wanting to ask this question for a long time but never got around to it. So now when I go into the menus to find out where I saw those options, I can't find them!

Either they removed them from when I last updated or I was smoking crack and the options were never really there.

When I (thought) I saw them, I was like, oh...that's for when you add a high-flow air filter or change your exhaust. Since I had neither, I didn't think much more about it.

I've read a few people talk about how high-flow air filters are a waste - not just because they allow more dirt, but unless you program your computer for the mod, your computer will automatically adjust as if you installed nothing. I think it held true for the exhaust.

I'm sorry for posting the question for something I can't backup now. Dang it!

The Traildash model offers an option that may be close to what you are talking about " Expandability (includes the ability to add aftermarket, accessories and sensors via the Superchips EAS" I use flashpaq and have not seen the option.

Maybe that's where I saw those options. Though I'm not sure why those options wouldn't be available on the Flashpaq.
