Default Shop never refilled gear oil after new seals

Long story short after my most recent trip to my not so local jeep shop in central jersey (name withheld for now) they forgot to fill my front diff with gear oil after replacing seals and shafts. After about 200+ miles of driving I noticed a lot of noise from the front end. I put the front end on jack stands and could hear the noise rotating the tires. Pulled the fill plug and smelt burnt metal, pulled the drain and nothing came out. I did not pull the cover. I filled the diff but I have to assume I have some damage. List of what could be toast, gears, bearings, seals, zip locker? Oh yea they also forgot to tighten the rear caliper after doing the brakes and one bolt fell out and the other loosened up enough after 50 miles to allow the caliper to swing onto the rotor.
I'm super pissed at the moment

I'd have to say that everything inside is toast. What did they have to say when you called them?

Hey it was the cheapest shop you could find. Right? I think you said it's not near you. Get what you pay for or make them do right for what you paid. Don't waste your time on the forum. Head to their front door. Only you can correct scabby shops.

No not the cheapest, they just specialize in jeep modification.
I just found this last night, no chance to talk with them yet.

There was a post on here recently from someone who had the same thing for a couple thousand miles. No damage.

If it was globex I'm sure they will attempt to make it right. If it was Krazy House Customs good luck.

Don't think that's the case for me, the pinion is loose as I can now wiggle it at the drive shaft and given the smell and noise I have to assume it's f'ed

Then give the shop a call and let them know what happened. I've had issues with globex before and they made an attempt to fix it. That being said this is exactly why I stopped using globex. Lack of attention to detail. Something was missed every time they touched my jeep.

Fwiw, I wouldn't have put hear oil in the diff. It will now be your word against theirs. Would have been best to have it flat bedded back to them. But, best of luck. Really crummy deal for you.
