Default Looking for !GOOD! mechanic around Denver (or close)

Hey guys,

I realize this isn't specific to JK. However, I haven't had much luck simply 'googling'. I have a jeep on which I've spent about 40k that needs more TLC. Can anyone recommend a mechanic around Denver (even 100 mile radius) that is more than just a simple mechanic? I'm looking for the shop that does Hemi swaps day in and day out, and heavily modifies jeeps (not the guy that changes oil and puts lifts on a car). I've spent enough money on this beast that I want it to run the right way (finally).

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. My rig has an LT1 in it bolted to a TH-350 (yuck, I kow) with a Dana 300. As a blessing in disguise, the tranny failed and I'm going to put a 4L60 in there (maybe an Atlas 2 behind it). Besides that, i want to do some regearing, ECM re-programming, locker swaps, eletrical major rework, etc.

Looking for someone I can trust that I can get some attention from (e.g. not High Country 4x4).

Thanks for any suggestions!

Scott

I know NOTHING about them except they do hemi swaps on new Jeeps with warranties. I could never stomach the prices, so never looked further into it.

Someone else may be able to recommend a specific, good mechanic in this area. I've met very few in my lifetime (most are hacks or parts changers) which is why I still do my own work even as much as I don't really enjoy it these days.

Pollard trailjeeps or northridge.

The edge 4x4 is great, but i don't think they deal with engine swaps.

Bullhide in Ft.Collins does good work. Scott is the owner and Ray or Tom could probable answer any questions you have. I have used them for years and they cover all builds from hemi's to buggies to mild. 970-224-2288

Another shop N.Ft.Collins is 4x4 parts.Bob Schlepy is probable one of the most honest and knowledgable jeep guys in the business. I have purchased parts from him since 1986. I can only speak for those two shops up North but you can't go wrong.

Trail Jeeps. No question. I'll never go anywhere else again. They do 60k+ builds and Hemi swaps every day. They just started doing LS2 swaps also.
