I needed some new front brake lines and I was interested in the Goodridge lines that were for sale on Quadratec. I called Quadratec and the person on the phone couldn't give me any info on the length so I called Goodridge and I couldn't get a hold of anyone there either and didn't feel like leaving a message.

So I took a chance and ordered them from Quadratec. They were part # 22706.0010


I measured from where the 90° bends were in each line. The Goodridge line measured about 26" long and the stock line was about 18" long. So they will give you some extra length. Here is a close up of the bracket.



The bracket install was pretty easy. I mounted the line to the bracket with the retaining clip while on the bench to make it easier. Then bolted it to the stock location on the frame. Here is a close up of the bracket.



And here is what it looks like installed.



So far everything is good. The jeeps stops just fine. I don't really notice any performance gains other than the jeep does not pull to the right any longer when braking.

 

Do you feel the upgrade was worth it? I know a lot of people who do this upgrade, and then say there's no real noticeable benefit

 

The real benefit is the longer length.

 

Yeah, I agree with OH9JK, the biggest benefit is the length.

I checked at the local parts stores for brake hoses and only one could get extended hoses and they came out to being a couple bucks more than these that I purchased, so I went stainless.

As for the better/firmer pedal "feel" I did not notice anything like that.

 

Actually, I got that backwards, the rubber lines were a few bucks cheaper, I think around $12. I wanted to replace the drop down brackets that were on my Jeep cause they were very rusty. So for $12 I got the brackets and the cool factor of stainless!!
