Default Evo c gusset install questions

Just a few questions before installing my g cussets. Any tips ? Also, what size rod is best to use. I'm going to run either a 6010 or 7018. I'm use to welding pipe and plate steel, so I'm gonna have to toy around with my amperage and more than likely use a smaller rod than I usually use. I'd mig weld them but it's either my miller cst 280 or a 110v Hobart Flux core welder. Any help is appreciated.

With that welder why not TIG them? A bit slow, but there really aren't that many welds. Would be nice to have the heat control on the cast steel.

That's also a possibility, I'd just have to buy a new tig torch which has been on my list of things to do.

I agree ^^ Miller is my preferred welding brand of machines. I say TIG it. I can see 2 problems. If you use a foot petal to control amps your going to have to find a place that you can lift your jeep up so you can sit on a stool or if you use a thumb screw torch that would work and you could probably do it without putting it on a lift just some jack stands . Then again MIG would probably work just fine I would just worry about Under-penetration.
