I'm just gonna say this, I wish we wasn't limited to the swaps we can do in our JK. I'm curious if aother people feel the same way ?

 

Wish I had the 5.0L & 6 speed trans that's in my 2013 F150 in my 3.8L JK

 

A little curious to hear what about an LS, Hemi, or 3BT swap doesn't do it for you? With time and money I'm sure someone somewhere could pull off a 5.0 coyote swap for you - didn't someone recently do a hellcat swap too?

 

I been saying for years I wanted a 3.5 ecoboost swap for the jk. Next gen one in 17 raptor would be awesome. Close to 500hp and an 8-10 speed tranny(I heard 10 salesman told me 8 idk)

 

i keep saying to myself that when my motor craps out im going to put a 5.0 in it! glad someone else has been wanting to do it too!!

 

Just not a LS fan nothing personal. Also hemi is limited to the upgrades you can do and also Hemi is more expensive than a LS . Just always liked the 5.0 and the new 5.0 is 32 values and 420 horse power

 

However i know of alot of LS engines 5.3 5.7 ,6.0,6.2 with over 200k miles on those engines and higher .i am a fan of the 4l60 transmission it is a copy of a Allison transmission is what i was told .

 

If you decide a 4l60, Google Transbuilderguy. He usually carries the case and can build to whatever you want. He's got a 9 sec vette running one of his trans. He is very informative and will build to exactly what you want. He will even shed light on what not to get and what to get for what you'll use it for.

 

Been looking at jeep speed shop and their dyi kit 5.7vvt truck hemi and 545 transmission is a pretty impressive power plant
