Default Questions about Putting 4door springs on a 2door

Ok so im getting my hands on some 2015 jku springs that are 17/58. Im putting them on my 2015 2door and i have no armor or bumpers so i should probably be yielding closer to 2 inches. With my jeep being under warranty i have to let the dealership do the work. With that being said i want to know if anyone knows if they know or think the dealership will be willing to do that for me and if so, is there any other hardware i need to provide such as brackets adapters or anything like as that? That is my biggest concern.

P.S. i would go ask the dealership myself but im 17 and work 7 to 4, 7 days of the week so i hardly have time to breathe.

Thanks! Any input helps!

Putting OEM springs on your JK will not void your warranty, whether you or the dealer install them. No other hardware required. I'm sure the dealer will be happy to do the work but if you can find the time, it would be a good learning experience for you.

Like said above^^^ if you want to do it yourself then look at projectjk.com for a good tutorial. Also they can't void your warranty because it's all mopar parts. Just thinking... Also, you should see 2"in the front and 1 1/2" in the rear. So, about 1 1/2" all around.

Your lift height will depend on what number springs you are removing...3/8" per spring number is a good estimate but every rig is different. The heavier your Jeep is, the less lift you will get.

'IF' you actually get 2", it will be like any other 2" lift. Both axles will shift a bit to one side (will you want them centered?). Both swaybars will be angled a bit further down (will you want them level with the frame?). The caster will be lower, causing the steering to be a bit flightier. (will it be low enough to bother you?) The front trackbar/draglink will be angled up further (shouldn't be a concern at 2", but worth mentioning if you decide to go higher). The shocks will be extended a bit at drive height, limiting downtravel (extensions are cheap). The brakelines will be stretched a bit tighter (shouldn't be an issue at 2", but flex and double check). And since you are using coils for a bigger, heaver JK, the ride may be a bit stiffer. As with any other 2" lift, what, if anything, you choose to adjust/replace/fix will be completely up to you. Many people add 2" spacers and nothing else. Others will choose to add more parts...

He will still have the same length control arms, track bar, end links, and brake lines that come from the factory with those springs so I don't think he'll have any issues. And since the shocks are the limiting factor on droop and he is not changing those the brake lines and sway bar links should be fine anyway. And I don't see 2" coming out of 17s, no matter what he has now. Don't scare the poor kid...lol

I would be shocked if he got 2". I added a leveling kit to my 18/59 set up and very happy with it.

Yeah, I wasn't saying he'd get 2", he did. Just my opinion, but they are all valid questions/concerns that people need to at least think about when they start lifting. Cuts down on the shock and the whining later on...

I did what you are looking at doing. I paid the stealership to do the work to avoid the you have a non-stock setup so thats why you have an issue with....insert problem.

I did not do any measuring. But just eyeballing it took out the front rake (accentuated by the winch) and overall i sit about 2 inches higher.

The only parts added were 18/58 springs and rubicon shocks. Replacing 14/54 springs and stock 2013 sport shocks. The ride is so subtly different I deem the project cosmetic at the is point. But I have not had her off road since.

Hope this helps.
