Default Thoughts & Experiences w/ E-Autogrilles JK Offroad Front Bumper with LED Lights

Greetings all -

Hope the day finds you well. I am looking for any kind of feedback on this bumper: http://www.amazon.com/E-Autogrilles-...ds=jeep+bumper

I wanted the Barricade version of this bumper but this looks equally as solid. I have read on some earlier post about E- Autogrilles and how many were skeptical but then the positive reviews came in...so with that said i am looking for any kind of feedback on this particular model or any from said manufacturer. I have a BodyArmor4x4 bumper on there now and it both SUCKS AND BLOWS at the same time. Had the stupid thing 4 months and the powder coat starting chipping off on the recovery ring mounts...when i called them they were less than enthusiastic to say the least...and said they don't warranty on east coast....I was like really had I known that i would not have bought these crappy bumpers...the welds not so great either....they wanted me to send both front and rear back to California...for what it would cost to box up and ship i will just buy new and sell old one after I clean it up...the first 4 photos were after 4 months the last photo is now...

Thank you in advance and keep the rubber side down....Click image for larger version

When you are trying to find the cheapest bumper you can find you usually get what you pay for. They have to save money somewhere and it's usually in the PC. I have never owned a e-auto but have seen a few. The powder coat is not good and will likely start to look the same as the one you have now. But they are a pretty tough bumper from what I've seen. So if you want it to just look good take it off sand blast it and get it powder coated again.

Yes i have to agree with you on "You get what you pay for"....after reading the 10 reviews if they can be believed...it seems like a pretty tough product. Has to better than the POS that is on there now...not the greatest welds and craftsmanship... thank you for your input... the Barricade one i looked at about the same price. Unable to locate and the reviews were a bit better than the Barricade.

I have more trust in E-auto then Barricade. I got their fenders from another member who was going to review them. I got the fronts to fit but the rears were no where close. I sent Barricade multiple emails .. (Not to complain, to help since i did not pay for them) ... No response. That right there irked me.
I think E-auto is a vender here on JF. From the reviews seem pretty good and A+ CS.

Most bumper manufacturers use super thin powder coat on their products. It's unfortunate. Some of the stuff that comes over from China seems to be a bit better, seeing how it has to survive a trip across an ocean and salty air.

However, their steel is sub standard. If you just want your JK to look "good" to you, and performance is not an issue, get what works for you. BUT, if you wheel your Jeep, get stuck, and have to get yanked, the better engineered bumpers, the better quality, or thicker, steel, will be well worth the extra cost. You'll also likely chip the PC on rocks anyway, so....

I've resigned myself to the fact that I will likely take off all of my aftermarket steel sometime next year, have it blasted and powdercoated with some extra thick stuff. Maybe even Line-X. Who knows.

If it's appearance you are interested in, get what you want, but you may still need to patch it from time to time. If it's performance, get American made steel.

I bought the rampage front recovery bumper on Amazon and it has survived through two western ny winters, 25' of snow, a trip to the west coast and still has absolutely no rust or exposed metal- powder coat is in Perfect shape! Can't say the same for paint on jeep.

I am impressed by it and would recommend- it was only like 300-350$ shipped as well.

Thank you Shutterbug...I am going for both form and function....I thought i was buying something relatively decent when I purchased the BodyArmor4x4....soooo disappointed in both quality of workmanship, welds and powder coat...then their customer service was less than sucky...from the reviews they seem to decent. I really dont do much serious "Wheelin" lately but still go off road....thank you for your input graciously accepted.

Cormac827 thank you as well...that is ironic I lived in Rochester/Henrietta for 5 yrs while attending RIT....starts snowing in November and you may see grass in May. LOL....JK. I miss living up there sometimes. Thank you as well for your input....graciously accepted as well....thank you.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. Were are constantly trying to improve the quality of our product from better powder coating to improved packaging.

Personally we don't like to bash other brands for the sake of a sale so don't expect us to chime in on how much better our brand is over brand x or so.
