The past two trips we did we ran tight trails to the point where my stock fenders on my JKUR are scratched/dented due to trees. What are my options here? I would like something where I can cover the tires from sticking out to stay legal in PA but will fold without damage to the body and then bounce back.

 

I haven't heard of anything like this, but would be something cool to see.

I can't see anything other than trimmed stock fenders being the best for what you are describing. I've hit trees a couple of times that ripped the fenders off. I just threw it in the back, got new clips and reinstalled it. Cheap and easy and they don't break. Also, you can almost always find someone selling a set for around $100.

 

I'm pretty sure they went under a couple years ago no? I liked their concept tho pulling off the flares to Offroad then clicking them back on for the street ....... Even their Facebook page last post was like 2012

 

I'd agree with what has been said. Stock fenders will bend or rip off while being very unlikely to damage the body. Flares like bushwacker are known for not flexing and bending the body. Only other option would be steel fenders that are properly designed with internal braces. You could roll your Jeep with Metalcloak fenders and not dent the body in the fender area.

 

I use small zip ties for my flares.
when the flares hit something, the zip ties break and the flare falls off. I toss it in the jeep till I get back to the trailhead where I zip tie them back on.
been doing this since I tore my Tj flares off a long time ago...

 

Lol, I've got 4 boxes of the clips sitting on a shelf, hadn't even thought of zip ties as a semi-permanent solution.

I've resorted to the zip tie option myself. No fender liners. You can grab a bag of 100 zip ties at home depot. It's cheap, fast, and you don't risk body damage.
