FlashPaq 87 Octane Tune and Gasoline in Mexico?
Good Evening People, I lurk around more than I should and tend to find the info I need to make decisions through the search box. But I have a question that I haven't found an answer to.
I'm going to be making a trip into Mexico next week.
So I was wondering if any one has feedback using the 87 Octane Tune while in Mexico using their Premium or Regular gas?
If I remember correctly the Premium is usually 91-93 depending on the state and gas station. While the Regular is 86-89 (not very positive here due to the fact that the last time I drove into Mex I only used Premium).
Now being that I have to stop every 250 miles to fill up, I'd like to try the 87 Octane Tune. I know it won't give me 400 miles between fill ups but any gains above 250 will be nice.
I currently have the FlachCal and will be upgrading via Spark to the FlashPaq tomorrow morning before the offer expires.
I will be making this trip in a 2013 JKU RHD with 4.56 gears on 35" Nitto Exo and a 2.5 RockKrawler Max Travel.
Thanks, in advance for any and all input.

I'd guess you'll be ok, just don't pump less than 87, higher octane won't impact anything, i just don't know how Superchips changes the timing in the Jeeps, but from what i've seeing with other vehicle applications and this vendor, their 87 octane has more timing than the factory mapping.
I do performance tuning calibrations as a hobby since 2006 for GM LSx engine family, Ford Coyote/Road Runner engine family, and since the Pro tuning suite i have has now support for Chrysler performance stuff, plus their little V6 engine family, i started getting into tuning this platform as well doing my 2013 JKU.
just in case, take your tuning device with you in case you need to load the factory tune, or simply pump 91 when available, i have no idea what you'll find for fuel overseas, but i believe Mexico uses the same measuring designation that we have here in USA (AKI) and thus, as long as you pump the min required octane for the tune (87 octane AKI in your case), you should be ok.

I will take the Superchip with me just in case. I'm going to try regular and get a feel for it. I don't expect any issues especially after seeing the note after install that says only to use 87 or higher with the 87 Tune.
But I'll keep my fingers crossed in hopes that I don't mess up my engine and for my safety.
Not sure what part of Mexico you're going to but make sure you stick to a Pemex branded station. Keep in mind not all stations have regular and premium like we do in the US. Their "regular" is called Magna Sin and is around 87 octane and the "premium" like 92 octane when you can find it. Also, you should carry a extra filter to screen out anything in the pump. I use to do a lot of 2 wheel riding down there and I can tell you that I clogged numerous fuel systems due to stuff that came out of the pump.
