Default Teraflex HD hinged carrier and 33" tires

I'm think of purchasing the TF HD Hinged Carrier but I run 33" tires so do I need to purchase the adjustable tire mount. I've see posts where I must and post where I can use the factory tire mount.

I'm using the stock tire mount + TF HD with 315/70/17 Duratracs 34+" (which just tuck under the rear centre brake light)
Been on for over two years now

I have that mount and running 33's. No other changes need until you go to 35's or larger. The install was pretty simple (view the Youtube video by Teraflex for the step-by-step).
