Default Why are my tires loud as heck?!?!

Just got my Jeep back from getting gears and ARB lockers and for some odd reason my 35" Trail Grapplers are LOUD as hell! Yeah. I know they're slightly noisy but it's boggling my mind. Pressure is at 29lbs. Doesn't look like any uneven wear. Wondering if gears or lockers are loud. Know that's silly but it's loud. Shop owner whom I trust mentioned they were loud....I don't doubt he'd tell me if there was a bad reason why my tires are loud.

If the tires were re-installed at a different corner of the vehicle from where they were removed, they'll be loud for a few hundred miles.

I was thinking that. Said they didn't rotate them but they could've swapped sides.

Thanks for the reply! They sound like boggers!!

Swapping sides would do it too. Trail Grapplers do get louder as they wear some, and my last set was always louder after rotating, but they should quiet down some as they even out.

Agree with Ryan.I always dreaded rotating because of the increase in noise... Lol

Sounds excessive but I've always rotated aggressive tires every 2-2500 miles. It really does cut down on uneven wear and keeps the noise to a minimum.

Yep, I do the five tire rearward cross rotation with my KM2s. The rears are loud at first because they change rotation.

The hum of a mud tire with the doors and top off is music to my ears.
