Default Poison Spyder Rock Brawler - Tire carrier sagging

Hello, I have a Poison Spyder Rocker Brawler and the tire carrier is sagging, meaning I have to lift the tire carrier to clear the bumper. I have loosened everything and put my high-lift jack on the carrier raising it and then tightened everything back up. I still end up with the sagging. Is feels like there is play in the hinge barrel. It feels like the tire carrier has about a 1/4" of play up and down. Any ideas on how to fix or adjust this??

Check the bearings and then tighten the nut at the hinge. I have the same tire carrier and never a sagging issue.

Use a set of channel locks if you have any or a super large wrench. I used channels ka and mangled mine a little. You could maybe wrap the cover best you can before applying the channel locks. You have a rubber glove maybe put that on and try to loosen the cover by hand.

Another thing I did was go to a boat dealer and got a thicker rubber O-ring to replace that pos one they give you. Seems like it keeps moisture out better than the thin one.

Okay, my wrench wasn't big enough. The instructions say you can use a 2-12". I assume they mean a 2-1/2" socket. Guess I'll make a trip to the auto parts store in the AM.

I bought a 24" Olympia crescent wrench off Amazon for less than $30 to my door. I saw that poison spyder is now shipping a laser cut wrench with new bumpers so you might want to give them a ring and they would send one out. Good luck!!

Below is my son holding the little baby crescent wrench!!

Let the PB Blaster soak for a while maybe it will free it up. When you get it off maybe apply some anti seize. You have me nervous now I may see if I should maybe check out my cover to see if I am gonna have the same issue. I hope not, I put a much thicker O-ring to assist with keeping moisture out.

I am out of the country at the moment but should be back in a couple days, but I would be glad to help you out when I get back if you don't have it squared away by then.
