Default orfab tire carrier mod

I just wanted to show the community on mod I did to my orfab tire carrier. My state requires a third brake light so after i got the one from or-fab I was very disappointed because it would not allow fit of the Hi-Lift jack so I made this and add mounts for some sand-ladders or element ramps from smitty-bilt and two flood light mountsClick image for larger version

I really like the tire carrier it is very secure and rugged it is also the same carrier selected buy Hendricks motor sports J8 commando jeep and if it good enough for them it is good enough for me. I also chose the tire-carry because it is independent of the bumper and has two hinge pins, It comes with the ability to except two full size NATO fuel cans or has a configuration for the rotopax cans. The only problem is the instillation is very and i mean VERY difficult and takes a good amount of time to do it right there is a lot of brackets and holes that need to be exactly drilled in to the body tub. If you are not very good with tools I would recommend finding an experience installer. I do have a rattle in the carrier I need to find now, but I dose not sound serious. If you decide to install this your self pm me I can give you some pointers it is possible to do it your self I did it in my front yard on a nice sunny day but took a couple of hours. And if you do get this the rustolum bed liner spray is almost an exact match to the texture power coat great for touch up.

Make sure the rattle is not the high lift. That's the only one I evwr have and fixed it with a bunge cord and zip tie around the loose jack parts

Did a couple of mods to my ORF tire carrier as well, First i welder in some 3" -3/8's studs for th high liftthe bought the lockble high lift caps (originaly for there high lift hood system) easier for me to unlock than use a socket wrench to get at my high lift jack
Second i drilled my T- Handle that holds the tire/rim on, and used a 5" longe 3/8" stud and nut and weldedthem in.So i could carry my high lift jack base out side, and then used anouther f the high lift lockable caps to secure it.

I used to have one and moved my license plate and third brake light to the T handle. I ran a few bolts though pointing rearward and used wing nuts in case I had to use the spare. Loved it.
