Default 2013 Wrangler Unlimited Moab Rear Bumper

I have been looking for some time now for a rear bumper and one just popped up on Craigslist. The owner states it is from the 2013 Moab Wrangler.

Is there any reason that this bumper would not fit my 2007 Unlimited? Is there anything special good/bad that I should know about this bumper? From the pics I am not sure it mounts, it is hard to explain in words but it looks like it bolts to the sides where the tubes are located I can see holes in one of the pics.

jeep wrangler

Thanks,

Brandon

I've just realized that there are some plastic ends for this bumper that are not in the picture. I'll have to ask him if he has these.

That is the AEV rear bumper also the same as the moab/COD bumper. It will mount no problem as long as you get all the hardware. I read that AEV won't sell just the hardware so be sure to get everything

I take it that the hardware for this bumper is unique? I couldn't just buy some bolt from the local hardware store?

I don't remember the hardware much on the rear. There is definitely some unique pieces for the front though. Here is the link to the bumper. Take a look at the install instructions. There will be a list of all hardware.

Thanks, I'll look at those instructions, I've been so hung up on finding those plastic side tanks that I didn't think of that.

This looks like the end piece I need.
AEV Conversions 10305028AA - AEV Non Water Right Side Corner Tank for 07-16 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK - Quadratec
They sell them for both sides so that's good.

Yeah i know they make the ends available so the OEM bumpers can have an upgrade to the water tanks and tire carrier.

I called AEV and talked to one of the guys there, he was very helpful. He gave me the part numbers of the anti-rotation brackets that I would need. They sell them for $20 each and then I found those ends for about $104 for the pair.

If this thing looks good I shouldn't be in it for a lot of money, and it will beat the heck out of the dented in rear plastic one that I have now.

Thank you evovii2jk, you have been a huge help.

Nicely done! Are you going to get the tire carrier eventually? I love my whole set up. Glad this all worked out for you!

Yes, the tire carrier is my ultimate goal. I need to start pacing myself though, I've only had this thing for about 4 months and I am going a little crazy buying stuff.
