Wil a trimmed tailpipe cause exhaust smell in cab?
So a friend at work ( non jeeper ) warned me that tailpipes stick out close to past the body to prevent exhaust from seeping into the cab. Especially at little or no speed. Has anyone had this happen to them? I was considering trimming my tailpipe after catching on some rocks. I was on an obstacle but had to back up a bit to bump the jeep up it. When I backed up the tailpipe caught a rock and ripped off the hangers. Was able to bend it back with only an exhaust pipe a little crumbled. Would rather not buy a high clearance exhaust for a while.
The stuff that can hurt you has no smell. Either point it down (it will help while you're moving) or extend the pipe back out from under the Jeep. But from what I know, it's only a worry if you're sitting still A LOT.

Idling to keep the cab heated while stuck in the snow is perhaps the most likely time fumes can enter the cab.
