Default Instant Air Company Status

Bummer. I just contacted Instant Air and Nate said they were forced to shut the web site down. Their tank supplier went out of business and they can't find a new one that is close to their prior price point. I was hoping to not go with Power Tank based on price but now I may have no choice. Hopefully Nate can get it resolved but I wanted you all to be aware.

Thats too bad. But honestly most CO2 suppliers will lend you a tank. I had trouble finding a place to fill my IAS 15 Pounder. First two suppliers would not fill my tank but had the option to lend one for cheap. I want to say $17 for a 15 lbs tank.

You can build the same setup as that for about $250 or less. Instant Air wasn't magic. He just got a good deal and tanks that gave him enough margin to sell it at a good price. You can buy the aluminum tank for around $95 (15lb). The regulator is around $55. Then choose your hose. That simple.

If that guy were smart, he'd sell everything but the tank. Here you go: http://www.beveragefactory.com/draft.../co2/C15.shtml

He probably has $75 into everything else.

Correction on price. Poly sells a regulator for $40. You can build the same thing for under $200. Poly sells a complete 15lb kit for under $250.

Powertank prices are a joke. Maybe worth it if you're filling 54" tires after you wheel. I got the poly kit a couple years ago for a good deal. I had no issues filling my 37s at that time and then going to my dads jeeps and filling his 35s. It slowed a little, but not much. Ran full throttle on my tires though. Blows the baby compressors out of the water.

I bought a 10lb tank off beverage factory for 65$ after shipping. A 150lb regulater off poly performance for 40$ and a coil hose and tire chuck with gage at menards for 32$ Just under 140 for the whole set up still need to fab a mount yet but not sure where I want it. It is way cheaper to build your own
