After cutting my fenders I was left with a gap that mud, rocks, etc.... could get between the fender and body. I went to Home Depot got some door weather stripping and some trim retainers from the auto parts store. This is what I came up with. Might not be the final product but it's a start.

Has anyone tried something similar and what did you come up with?

That's a good idea, looks good!

I left some extra meat on the inner fender when I cut them, then I heated and folded it up and filled the hole. Looks good and I get complements all the time on them.
