lift/tires mpg
Hi I was wondering if anyone can help me figure out how much mpg I would loose if I lift and put bigger tires on my 2008 jk 6 speed I currently get 16 city and 20 highway and this is stock I was looking at a 3-3.5 inch lift with maybe 33s or 35s thanks for the help
Nope, too many variables. People can only reply with what they have found, with their particular build and driving conditions and driving style - which could be completely different from yours.
But, with a 3" lift and 35's you might expect to lose 2-4mpg. Or more. Or less. If you regear, you should gain a little of it back. And if you don't bother to reprogram, you will think you lost a bit more.
btw, that is more lift than you need for 35's, and definitely more than is needed for 33's.
