Wish I had those upgraded Mopar brakes!
Driving on the highway when all of a sudden there's a panic brake situation in front of me (for lord knows what?), so I slam on the brakes and quickly realize that I might have been following a little too close for comfort! I was able to get into the left shoulder, but slammed the left front tire into the concrete divider and just caught the vehicle in front of me with the right side of my jeep.
Damage to the body wasn't too bad, just some cosmetic stuff on the passenger side, but the impact of my tire hitting the concrete divider must have been a little harder than I thought and it bent my drivers side LCA mount..

I sure could have used those few extra stopping feet the Mopar kit provides
Jeep drives with a real bad wobble now and cannot be driven over 40mph.
Dropped the vehicle off at Karnage Motorsports here in Miami so that I can get the beefier Synergy LCA mounts welded on and have them check the rest of front suspension for damage. I'm guessing an alignment will be in order once I get it back.

That sucks! Glad you are okay and the damage was not worse. It is good you will make sure they check all the other steering and front end stuff though.
I know you were probably joking in your title about the upgrade kit, but I had it installed and it does make a noticeable difference in stopping. Never was impressed with the stock brakes after adding several hundred pounds of weight to the Jeep. However I was not able to use my 17" stock Rubi wheels because they scraped the outside of the new calipers.
Don't know if it would have saved you in this case, but it is a worthwhile upgrade IMO.

This is one of those "mods" that should be mandatory with larger tires because we really don't realize how much weight we're trying to stop until that tire pushes the stock brakes around. It's on list too.
Just found out from the shop that in addition to the bracket, I also bent both upper and lower drivers side arms, drivers side axle, and the ball joints will need to be replaced on the drivers side.
Waiting on quote, but if it is as expensive a repair as I think it will be, I might as well bite the bullet and upgrade to a D44.
edit: Jeep is a 14 Altitude (sahara w/stock d35 up front)

As soon as I get my dual battery setup done the Teraflex Big Brake kit is next on my list.
I had a scare just the other day. Wasn't paying attention and when I realized that I was about to run a red light, I slammed on my brakes. Good thing I was running a large brake kit because I was able to lockup (ABS kicked in) my 37 inch tires and stopped in time. Upgrading to larger brakes, in my case Teraflex, was the best and safest mod I have.
