So today I went and traded in my beloved 2008 2 door in rescue green to get a 2016 JKU in tank. It was a bitter sweet thing to do. My wife is not comfortable with driving the manual trans in the 08 so i decided to switch to a auto and I have a bad back so getting my Awesome son who is 2 but as big as a 4 year old into the back of a 2 door was not an easy task. Johnson Dodge Chrysler Jeep in Bud lake are awesome people and I look forward to starting somewhat fresh as they have let me keep my mods (some wont work being the different models).

 

That's nice, so how does that work with keeping your mods? Do you switch them out, or do they? Any additional charges, etc?

 

They are having me swap them out which isn't too bad I'm leaving my bumper and switches with them but taking my lights and winch I already took the CB but am leaving the antenna and I'll be swapping the stock radio back in and taking the pioneer out. The rest of the stuff a sales guy there may take for his jeep which I'm ok with as he's a nice guy and helped me out.

 

Congrats! It's so refreshing to hear that you chose another Wrangler over some uni-blob family hauler as so many have done before. Your kid is lucky to grow up with a Jeep as a family vehicle!

 

That's awesome! I wish I could get my hands on a hard rock and my jk at the same time to do some parts swapping at the time of purchase.

 

We also have a 2015 Cherokee latitude we are a complete jeep family wife had a liberty before the Cherokee

 

Just have to ask the sales manager nicely they usually want oem parts anyway
