Vendor pricing and parts
So ive been shopping arround for a few weeks now and ive come to notice that most of the parts i want to purchase are all the same price on all the major vendors websites its like they have some kind of no competition price lock goin on with each other. Aev 2.5 lift 1000.00 pro cal 170.00 aev geo brackets rock monsters 483.00 Got lucky on the rock monsters tho i found a site where the guy who entered the price had dyslexia or something so i got them for 438.00 instead of 483.00 : ) . Any one happen to know about this and mabey a few places i can check out to try and find a better price on the procal and aev 2.5 lift / geo brackets? Not expecting super discounts or anything but ever little bit helps.
I know that in the past certain vendors offered a discount to forum members. I've never really taken advantage of that because I have access to cheaper parts through a personal relationship (that I dare not abuse, so no one ask, please). The other thing to pay attention to is shipping costs. And, of course, service (though we've had some great vendors who have supported this forum and many praises are extant for their customer service in most cases). Also, state sales tax, depending on where you fall in the declaring that and paying use tax per your local state laws. Some vendors, even in your own state, may be willing to give you a discount for the state sales tax in order to retain your business. Sorry, I don't have more specific info for you. Maybe others will chime in soon.
I think AEV is one of those that has fixed prices no matter where you go. Everyone has to be able to make a dollar otherwise it isn't worth the time to sell things.
Being a "frequent flyer" will gain loyalty with your seller and they may be willing to make less off of your items knowing that you'll be back for more. That's true of the smaller vendors.

There are aev 2.5" coils on eBay now for $100 and slowly climbing. Based on the past couple sets I've watched, they'll stop at $200-250. There are control arm brackets here for $50 and someone is always selling a rear track bar relo bracket. Add shocks and you're set.
Procal...again, eBay. Unlocked and ready to go- I just saw one sell for $110. There's one on my local craigslist for $100.
I try to buy new where I need to but when funds dictate used and it makes sense, then I save a buck. I guess I missed the budget cap on mods but I understand, I've been piecing together a lift for years now. Longer shocks and I'll be set.

We offer members here a nice discount and free shipping. AEV is a very tight line for all dealers, but feel free to give me a shout here or give me a call in the morning!
