Default Baja Designs Customer Service

Not sure if this is the right place to post this but I wanted to share my experience with Baja Designs and an issue I had with one of their products. About a year ago I purchased a 40" Stealth light bar directly from them. I've been very happy with the light in terms of output and how small of a footprint it had. Recently I noticed water was collecting inside of it and then the light shorted out. My intention was to contact them and try to see if it was still under warranty but I needed to replace it immediately for an upcoming trip. I decided to purchase a new one and some additional products from them. I would deal with the return at a later time. I've heard nothing but good things about Baja and the light was great prior to this problem so I figured I just received a one off problem and I felt confident purchasing a replacement from them.

Shortly AFTER I placed the order I received an email from them with a coupon for 15% off my NEXT purchase. I felt the timing of the email was poor after I just spent $2,000 and I sent them an email expressing my frustration. Baja IMMEDIATELY responded and apologized, offered to apply the 15% savings to my order and inquired about the problem product I mentioned in my email.

After some back and forth it turns out that their Stealth light is no longer available and the new S8 light that replaces it isn't the exact same size, meaning the holes for mounting that I drilled in my roof rack wouldn't accommodate the new product. Baja offered to try and adjust the brackets on the S8 light to fit my current set up so I don't need to drill new holes, they are doing their best to ship me the light prior to my trip, not charging me for the replacement light and honoring the warranty even though it's a slightly different product and still honoring the 15% coupon on the other product I purchased. This was all done quickly and they were not just professional but downright nice.

I think it's important to acknowledge great customer service because it is so rare these days and I want to thank Baja Designs and let other people know this is a great company that clearly stands behind their products and really does their best to make customers happy. I will continue to buy from them in the future.

I bought 4 of their Fuego lights in 2008, and they ultimately corroded and the paint faded. I sent them in, as they have a lifetime warranty, and they rebuilt them just as good as new. They do have a problem with moisture intrusion that causes the lenses to rust, but they go a few years before that starts and I anticipate they'll happily rebuild them again. They stand by their stuff. Great company!

They are awesome to deal with. I have the 30" stealth on my warn bumper and it's still awesome after 3 years. Hoping for many more. FD
