I'm trying to figure out what would be the best overall LED lighting setup between THESE 2...and why?

1) 50" light bar (Rigid or Vision X)

2) a-pillar dual mount with Rigid D2 Driving on top and Rigid Hyperspot on the bottom

I don't know about the A pillar lights but I know my 50in light bar will wash out my four bumper lights. I should've installed the light bar first. Having the light up high is awesome on the trails at night.

Can you say that your 50" would be more then enough, without adding any other lights?

for me Yes, I don't even need to turn on my bumper lights anymore.
My light bar is a single row 50in with 5 watt LED's
My bumper light only have 3 watt LED's

Nice, what brand is your light bar? Does the single row put out a similar amount of light as a double row? Do you have any pictures? Day and night and from the driver seat?

I'd still do bumper lights, you can't run your 50" bar all of the time. You won't be able to run it often actually unless there are no people where you drive. It's all your call obviously but I hate seeing people waste $1800 on a rigid light bar when it rarely ever gets turned on.

It's your cash, do what you want to do.

So the dual mount with 2 Rigids on each side could be better, considering you can turn on 1 set or both set separately....

Lights on the a pillar are nice but you do get glare on the hood which means wasted light. Putting them on the bumper will get more light out on your obstacles.

I've got a set on the a pillar for tighter trails where the bumper will be forward of where I need to see.

But yes- pass on the 50".

I got this light bar from amazon, this is super bright. most double row light bars only use 3 Watt LED's. This is 5 Watts per LED or 250 Watts total with 24600 Lumins. For the price of this I can buy 6 for the price of one Rigid

IMO, pass on LED all together. I would run HID on the bumper with an inexpensive mount and have a light setup that will outperform LED for 1/4 of the cost.
