Default want to bedline my grill

I've given up on the idea that I will eventually paint match my grill to the body of color. (It came with a stupid chrome grill.) I plasti-dipped it a while back and it's held up pretty well. But little chrome flecks are starting to show through. I want to make it flat black and pretty much last forever. Am I better off using a spray or roll-on? Thanks in advance, Jeep Jedis.

This stuff works great, it's held up on my JK grill (and other parts) for a couple years without fading or peeling and such. It's got a small amount of texture to it.

Did it go on smooth? No runs or drips?

I used multiple light coats with about 10 minutes between coats and didn't get any running or dripping. Also sprayed the grill while it was laying flat on the ground.

I used the truck liner from Lowes in a shake can... Works great on the grill I did not prime just cleaned.
