Default DV8 Hammer truck conversion on the LIKA mobile

Well Mr Lika got bored and when that happens that means time to chop up his jeep lol.

A few years ago we built a deck and while it was bad ass it was impossible to run any sort of top that would keep the water out of the rig.

So while out at KOH we saw the DV8 Hammer truck kit and it was on.....

This is what we started with

Well after taking the deck off it was time to trim the fat. The old shock towers came out as well as the back portion of the cage and the X brace behind the seats.

One everything was out of the way it was time to patch some holes in the floor and start rebuilding the X brace portion of the cage.

All done and painted.

Mounted the Dj saftey system and made new hard lines.

He wanted something different than the slanted bars that come from the top down to the bed. So I whipped out some bed rails. These will double as a mount for his roof top tent.

Here is a look into the glory hole. With this kit you still have some usable storage space where the back seat used to be.

I also added some LED dome lights because it bugged me that we lost the dome light so problem solved.

Awesome job Dirty! Lika had to take an already awesome jeep and make it better. Is there enough smurf blood though??

Side Note, you could sell those original decks no problem on the site.

Looks suspiciously like the Thaler Design Action Truck kit (Also sold by Terraflex), is DV8 rebanding the TD kit now?

Curious minds want to know... LoL

BTW, one of my fav builds on the forums just got better...Thanks for sharing !!

I made the deck for this jeep so it would be alot of work for someone to adapt it to theirs
