Default Bumper and winch or lift.

So I'm trying to decide which I should invest in first. The LoD Shorty bumper and winch then a lift or level kit. Or should I go with a small lift or leveling kit first then bumper and winch. I'm more of a overland kind of guy and the ride height on my JKU Willy's doesn't really need much lift.

I say go bumper and winch. A lift won't get you out of being stuck and a leveling kit is not going to prevent getting stuck much at all.

Agree, I did lift first and then bumper/winch. I had to put on spacers after the fact when I added on the extra weight. No big deal, but a little more work.

The only reason I'm thinking about lifting at all is to compensate for any sag. If I could just replace the coils to maintain its current height I'll do that.

Put the weight on so you know what size spacer/coil to use.

you can get a 1" coil spacer for next to nothing so go with the LoD and winch. the LoD is a nice bumper.

If you put a bumper and winch on stock springs you will likely be sitting on the bumpstops. Do the lift first. Watch for deals, a good 2.5" basic lift can be had for under $500.

I have a bumper and winch and no lift i lost about a quarter of an inch in height so it really depends on the springs from the factory and what type of winch line you get

I already decided to go bumper/winch 1st but now I'm starting to 2nd guess myself once I get it all put on.

I got the AEV Moab tubeless front bumper, front skid plate and Winch mounting kit. Going with the Badlands 12K winch. I totally overlooked the additional weight aspect and springs by adding the bumper and winch, thinking my next step was lift with bigger tires.

I'm starting to regret grabbing the Take off Rubicon Hard Rock springs, TB, and shocks I saw on Craigslist for $200.

I guess I'll get the bumper and winch on and see what happens.
