I have a gap by my passenger window on my JKU. I am trying to figure out what kind of adjustments to make to have a tighter fit. It's the twill version that's a couple years old. My bar in the front I think got out of wack at one point and am not sure of the angle in the bend it should have if that makes sense. Thanks in advance Doug

Shot notice the title is jacked up. Should read Bestop.

I just checked mine and everything appears to be positioned the same. Took a pic but it's hard to see and I can't get it to attach in the mobile app. You might be able to slide the bracket above the b-pillar backwards. My top started leaking once and I found that bracket was loose.

Edit: looks like the pic attached.

You are referring to the arch? The ends go into slots on both sides and it arches up, not much you can do with it. For the gap, unlatch the front and fold it back, then verify that everything is installed/tightened/secured properly. (there are plenty of videos on utube if you need a refresher)

And if the top has loosened with age, you can try moving the springs to another hole.

Like nthinuf said, sounds like the springs are in the wrong holes. Move them toward the inside of your Jeep. After that, check your door surrounds. They may be loose. Even without my front bar, my top doesn't have a visible gap.

My springs are in the inner holes. Can you explain what u mean by tighten the spring cable. The only way I see to tighten the cable is by moving it to the inner holes which I have done. I think I am going to take it off as it was new and take my time and reinstall everything

Also the bow above the drivers head does that have right contact all the way across. Mine is a bit loose on the drivers side where it makes contact with the top material.

The bar over the speakers seems to have a bow to it. Is it suppose to or should it be straight with no bow?

I think I jacked it up at some point.

Thanks

Not sure about the bow above the speakers, my Trektop nx doesn't have that so yours may be bent? Above the driver and passenger doors I could see outside while driving on the highway, found that both spring cables that keep it tight up there had come loose, likely when opening the front of the top, and was loud with the wind. Googled it and found a site showing how to rectify this by referring back to install instructions in the section that shows how to install the cable springs. It said to either reconnect the fronts of the cable, and/or tighten by using the further most holes to attach the spring side to the mounting bracket. took care of my problem though it was a bitch attaching em back that far. Had to use a needle nose pliers to grip and stretch it that far back.

Are the bars reversed? Mine has a sticker on each one that says front and rear. They may have different degree of curve for each one and the front may not be getting the proper support.
