Default Fusion4x4 Tierod, PSC 1.75 Clamp and Fox 2.0 Steering Stabilizer Help?

Hey,

I have purchased a Fusion4x4 2.5 ton tierod along with PSC 1.75 Clamp (PSC-TRCL10B) with a 5/8 bolt. I had plan on running the FOX Steering Stabilizer 2.0 until I can go to PSC Ram Assist. My question is what have you guys done to run the 5/8 clamp bolt with this shock? The eyelet bushing and metal sleeve on the Fox shock will only accept a 1/2 bolt and the 5/8 clamp bolt is to large.

Is there a bushing kit out there for the shock with a ID of 5/8 on the sleeve? Do I look at getting a reducer for the boss on the clamp to reduce it from 5/8 to 1/2? Or do I just push the metal sleeve out of the shock bushing and just use the 5/8 bolt with no sleeve and bushing only?

Thanks

I was just going through this in my head this morning. I think I plan to run w/o an SS until I get my ram hooked up.
Problem is, my stock track bar bracket is destroyed and I'm fairly confident my SS is hiding death wobble for me. I've got the new bracket ready to weld on so hopefully that will fix my issue, but if it doesn't I've got my work cutout for me. I'd basically need to install the new bracket, tie rod, clamp, and ram all in one go. Mine's my daily...

Had the same issue with the clamp and the bolt. But I have a stock steering stabilizer... poor thing has seen some abuse... has quite the bow in it. Lol. But it still works! Anyhow, I just hammered out the sleeve and ran the bolt through the bushing itself. Not ideal, but I don't care too much about the stock SS. Figure this will work for a while until I go to hydro assist. Worst case is I replace the bushing if I chew it up with the bolt.

Is Fox the only one with a ss with 5/8" bolt hole? I thought about hammering sleeve out of stock as also. But drives fine, so no hurry for me. I have Synergy ball joints and draglink, Ruffstuff HD tie rod. Maybe that helps?

Looks like a lot have ran into this same issue. I to have ran without ss and it drives just fine to be honest without, couldn't really tell that it wasn't there.

I just figured since I paid $134 for a brand new Fox SS I would use it and see. I debated on just getting a reducer and tring that for the time or I just could sell/return the shock.

How temporary are we talking? If it were me, I'd either leave it off entirely, or press the sleeve out of the bushing, open it up and press a 5/8" ID sleeve back in.

Or go to an autoparts store and buy a generic 5/8" shock bushing kit. Its what I had to do on my ATV a while back.

I would say 6 months to year until I can look at getting hydro assist setup. I pushed the sleeve out and the 5/8 bolt fits perfectly into the bushing with a snug fit without the metal sleeve. Is there any I'll effects of running it with out the sleeve inside the bushing. I thought about getting a 5/8 smooth bore bolt to keep from the thread teeth cutting into the bushing.

Id throw a shouldered bolt in there with some grease and call it a day. The shouldered section will prevent threads mangling or over compressing the bushing
