Default 37s on dana 30? Anyone doing this?

Anyone have any experience running 37s on the stock D30? Is it okay to do this or do you need to upgrade to a D44 to run 37s?

People do it. A couple of people I know are doing it currently. They are waiting for theirs to grenade before they upgrade.

Will it last one wheeling trip, or 5? Or for a while? Hard to say.

Yes people are doing it, but that doesn't mean it's a good idea. Especially if you like driving instead of walking home from the trails...

There are people who simply bolt it up and run it- without joining a forum to say so.

Run it till it breaks. If it's not a risk you're willing to take then reconsider the tire size or the axle size.

I ran 37" Pitbulls on my D30 for a year and a half before I swapped axle to a D44... I had no issues but then Iam not heavy on the skinny pedal.

In the boating world there are people who run 1,200 HP through a Bravo drive. Will it last one trip? One season? It's a time bomb no matter what. Personally, I'd rather have something to pull off and sell to offset the cost of new, rather than a pile of pieces and yard art to sell by the pound.

I'm going to do it once my 35's wear out. Yep its a grenade..... but I wheel with a friend who owns a 4x4 shop and trailers his Jeep but it is registered for the road and we can just load it up he can drive his Jeep and I'll Drive the F450 dually 5th wheeler with trailer right to his shop and fix it or I'll just say F it and have him Put in a Core 44.

Also I think ChucktheRipper is running one with zero Problems

I just don't understand why People think a D30 is a piece of freaking glass that is going to break on the first rock they hit. I know me and Chuck wheel hard and we both have not had any problems. I know I treat my Jeep like a 5 Dollar whore I ride it hard, Rough and put her up wet. When its your time to break something its your time. I'v seen people heavy modified rigs with D60's break their Sh*t. Then I do the same line with my D30 and no damage. Its a crap shoot and luck of the draw when its your time its your time... you just hope it dosent hurt the wallet that bad.
