Post a pic of the bracket.

Does it drop from the frame, or raise from the axle?

I just removed one and the bracket went over the existing bracket and bolted into the shock mount, the vertical flat there. It realistically should only fit one way.

My 2.5" kit came with an rear Upper track bar bracket. It was completely useless for centering my axel and it needed lots of persuasion to get it in.

You can always purchase another rear track bar bracket that raised the bar at the axle connection which is better for handling than lowering it at the frame (improved roll center). That is another option to consider.
