Default Lightbar noise

I'm sure there's threads on this but I must have overlooked them. I put a 52" lightbar above my windshield and it is so loud it drowns the stereo out. I've been told angling it the right way would stop but I apparently hvnt found th sweet spot yet. Any input?

Thanks. I'm gonna give it a try. On my way to Home Depot now.

Go to your local auto parts store and get the black plastic door trim. It's usually around 12 bucks for 18'. Cut strips the length of the light bar and place a strip on every 2nd or 3rd fin on the back housing of the light. I've done it to 2 different 50" bars. Works great and only takes a few minutes.

better yet go to home depot and get a 48" piece of rubber base board molding for less than $2,,, cut a strip that will fit in the channel in the back of the light bar - the molding has a nice lip which works well to disrupt the air flow... couple of sheet metal screws will hold it in place

It looks like crap... But I stuffed pool noodle in between the cooling ribs. It got rid of 75% of the noise, without a cross-wind.

I used the plastic door trim for my light bar and it works great. Found the idea on YouTube.
