Default Question about lift height and shock length

So I have a Trailmaster 4.5" lift on my jeep which was on when bought it. Apparently the coils are 5" in front and 3" in the rear to level the jeep out. It sits quite level. I would like to change out my rear shock absorbers since one of them is leaking and I am just curious if the Bilstein 5100 shocks rated for 4-5" of lift are going to work. I only ask because for one, the rear was 3" to begin with and two, I think I also lost a bit of height in the rear just due to all the weight on my jeep, lol. The jeep measures closer to around 2.5" over stock in the rear now. I do have bumpstops though, so does that mean I shouldn't have to worry about bottoming out my shocks if they end up being a little long?

Thanks!

You need to take some measurements of the distance between mounting points when the suspension is fully compressed and when fully extended to the point of the coils coming unseated. Once you have those measurements then you can buy the shock you need. If you are running 5" of lift and net 2.5" then you don't want shocks set up for 4-5". Buying shocks advertised for a certain lift height is not a good idea and generally results in a poor fit.
