Weather cover recommendations
Am looking for 2 different covers since I do not have a garage. I am looking for a cover to use when the soft top is off. Does one exist that is water proof to protect the interior from rain?
I also need a better full car cover to protect it in the winter from the snow and other elements.
Any ideas on which ones to get or to stay away from would be much appreciated.

I've heard great things about Covercraft for the winter cover... breathes but protects. I'm still looking for a waterproof cover for the summer, too. Right now we have a cheap canopy shelter my wife parks her jeep under when's she home and we pulled the carpets for when's shes not.
I bought a mopar cover for my Tj and it's basically a raincoat. It would need a skid row top prop if you were going to leave it in the rain for a while but it does keep the water out when installed properly.
I have the molar cover and it works pretty well. My only criticism is that it doesn't fit as well with the soft off or partially off. I see others online that look bigger and clip to the frame at the bottom of the jeep but I do t know how well they resist water. I
The only cover I've found that is truly waterproof is the Bestop all weather trail cover. It's made from the same material as the Softop. It doesn't work with the top on. I've used these for many years and love them as I don't have a garage so putting the cover on allows piece of mind with my top down and doors off.

I agree with Jeep801, the Bestop all-weather is superb quality, and it does work with the soft-top lowered and resting on the rear trunk.
The Bestop cover doesn't work with the soft-top up because it follows the rear slant of the rollbar (as seen in Jeep801's photo). With the top up and the rear sails hooked on, the JK soft-top is a square rear, and the Bestop cover needs slanted rear.
BTW, you and I are both in lower NY, and we both get 6 inches-8-12-to-alot of snow. I keep mine garaged. There's another thread on the forum discussing the weight limit of the stock soft-top in heavy snow, I recall it advised NOT letting the snow pile up, it will cave in.

In winter I have the soft top and a heavier duty top over it. I should do a better job keeping the snow cleared off.
Any suggestions for a full car cover that is breathable to use in the colder months?
I have used the best top for about 4 years and no complaints. I did make a "bow" that goes over the front seat to keep the water from pooling. This also allows me to stay dry when removing it after a rain. I also treated it with a product I found at a sporting goods place that is a two rattle can application, I can't remember the name but the ad shows mud not sticking to shoes.
