Door holder for my JK
Here is a cool setup I came up with for storing my JK´s doors when I remove them. I live in Mexico so for most of the year I can ride my Jeep topless and door-less. I bought the door hinges from a junk yard for $80 dollars and bolted them onto a 4” rectangular pipe and then welded the base. I used a thicker plate (1/4”) for the base because of the weight it will be holding. I also welded 4 iron rods on two of the base sections for storing the freedom tops. On the other two sections I only welded one iron rod for preventing the doors from hitting each other. I covered all of the iron rods with foam pipe insulation. I also included a small plate on top of the rectangular pipe for storing my Rugged Ridge mirror relocation brackets. The overall cost for the project, including the premium quality paint I used was about $150.
