Big rebates?
Not only are there no BIG REBATES on Wranglers, but there are NO rebates period. Not legitimate ones. With people lining up to buy or lease JKs and JKUs, they simply are not giving them away. When someone says they got rebates, or real heavy discounts, they are full of BS. Just trying to make themselves out to be a real shrewd buyer, so to speak. Some dealers will honor the Tread Lightly 1 percent below invoice pricing. In some instances only on ordered vehicles. Or sometimes on stock vehicles depending on the time of month for their sales quota. I work for a Jeep dealer.
Tread lightly will be your best deal. The only "rebates" that were available when I purchased was $500 military allowance and $500 "Mopar Bucks" that I promptly blew on tinted windows for the soft top.
Chrysler will sometimes give a rebate if you've been looking for a couple months as an incentive to speed up your purchase, I got a $1000 rebate that way but I was also looking for the right wrangler for almost 7 months. They don't always do that though.
The best deal I was able to find was $3k off sticker and I had the $1k incentive, so I was able to purchase mine for $4k off sticker combined.
Truecar is a good source to help you with your purchase, I used their price as my starting point.
I shopped around a lot and most dealers were willing to let the jeep go at invoice, some a little less than invoice. Most were giving about $2500 off sticker.
