Post Real power on 33s vs 35s insight

I currently am running a slightly smaller size than stock i believe its 255/?/17 compared to the 245/?/17. My stock duratracs were about 30 inches tall and my current are slightly wider but about 1 inch shorter sitting at 29 in. I have 2 inch wheel spacers and a 1.75 inch front spacer lift. I have a banks intake with a catback exhaust. With these small tires and slight performance increase my jeep can really pick up and go on the highway, the pedal response being so much BETTER than stock it feels pretty powerful and decently quick with the 3.6l. Im overall wondering with 285/70/r17(33s) vs 315/70/r17s(35s) how much of a power decrease will i feel?

Sounds like if you're happy with how it is now, you will be a bit regretful of the loss in seat of the pants "power".

If you have the budget and an auto, or you didn't have max tow, would you maybe consider upping the size of tire and regear simultaneously?

Since really the weight between the two is minimal, between 285/315, the weight with the wheel will always be 60-80 or more if you choose a higher rated style.

What wheel are you going with when you plan on upgrading?

I have a 14 with 4.10's and auto and I switch off between Toyo 35's that weigh about 102lbs mounted ie on aev salta rim and bfg ko2 34x10.5-17 on stock rims that weigh around 77 lbs mounted. the 35's are actually about 2" taller and wider than the 34's and when I switch back to the smaller tires it feels like I have a supercharger lol. strange thing is mpg is not much different but acceleration sure is better with the smaller lighter tires.

Jadmt- when u run the 34s on the stock wheels do you have wheel spacers? Thinking about the 2.5 aev with this setup on my new jku. Have 35" MTRs & salta wheels w/ the 2.5" aev on my 07 jku don't need 2 with 35s

yes and no lol. I have run them both ways they just look better with the spacers because have flat fenders and they look funny without running 1.5" spacers.
