WHICH TIRE CARRIER? - If gate is used every day!
Jeepers'
I just got my mods and next on the docket it a rear bumper w/ tire carrier. So...heres what I'm thinking. My Jeep tech told me the SmittyBilt Atlas would be a good fit for me since I wanna do some trailing and camping. However, I use my tailgate way to much to have a 2 step door process so I found the SmittyBilt XRC GEN2.
What do you guys think of that being that its a 1-handed, 1 step process to open my tailgate? I think the skid plates are a good idea, but also wanted to know if anyone attached their jack to it anywhere?!
OR
do you guys have any badass looking rear bumpers w/ tire carriers that function the same way (1 step opening process)?

went through the same thing, I had a tire carrier w/ bumper that wasnt connected to the gate and I hated opening both the swing and the tailgate. I got the TF tire carrier and much happier, works well with my heavy ass 37 with beadlock too. Other nice thing with the TF carrier is that you can run any rear bumper you want as well. Also check out the new EVO setup.

I have the XRC gen 2 setup and it's been working fine. Work stuff is in the back so I open it 2 times daily, it's not as light to open as the stock but I have a 35 on it. It was a pain to install and I think I would go with the teraflex one if I had a do over, it's just has less moving parts and is lighter.
Ok everyone, I think I get the trend here of the TF hinges...thanks!!!
What if i told you i was super interested in going with Fab Fours Rear Bumper with Off-The-Door Tire Carrier? Obviously beside price, any benefits or dislikes?
