Default Rock Krawler 1.5 or MetalCloak Urban Assault 1.5

Looking for a small lift, mainly to return my ride height to close to stock from addition of heavy full width bumpers. No plans for for serious off roading or 35s either

JKU 1.5 Stock Mod System

The Jeep JK Wrangler 4-Door Overland 1.5" Lift Kit and Budget Boost

They're both priced close but handle geometry correction differently. Is one any better than the other? Anyone running either system?

Decide what is more important to you.

Would you rather have caster correction, or centered axles? At 1.5", neither are must-haves. Disconnects are nice, but will you actually use them?

More than likely, it won't matter a bit which of these kits you choose. You'll just end up adding whatever components weren't included...

I'd agree with the above post. You're also looking at two reputable companies. I have items from both on my jeep as I run RK springs and MC arms along with various other components. For me it typically comes down to price, and MC doesn't discount unless you catch one of their flash sales. They also charge a decent bit for shipping, so factor that in. There are a few things that I want of theirs that I am willing to pay up full price for and pay shipping......and other things I'm willing to go with RK or another manufacture as they are more often discounted and can find free shipping (It all adds up in the long run).

If you have lost that much height from armor and such all you need is the coils. The other stuff that meant for geometry correction will not be needed since you are basically going back to stock height.

At 1.5" the front track bar would be more helpful than correction brackets.

We are not a Metal Cloak dealer, but they make great products. You really can't go wrong either way.

I offer the 1.5 Stock Mod with fixed sway bar links and adjustable sway bar links. RK updated the Stock Mod a couple months ago but we are still offering it both ways. If you don't want shocks, knock $300 off of these prices.

Thanks for the advice, everyone.

Good deal! Added to my Christmas wish list.

I installed the RK 1.5" Max Travel kit on my 09 JKU 2 years ago. I have full skids, heavy rock sliders a front bumper w/ skid and it seems to have retained the 1.5" lift height. It soaks up the larger bumps nice but its a little rough on the small choppy stuff. Maybe the Bilstein 5100 shocks are a little too firm.

I just used 1.5 RK coils up front and 1" Teraflex spacers for rear. That would accomplish want you want to do in all likelihood on a budget.

Note I got 2" lift up front but that is with stock bumper I expect to loose a little when I install m LOD Mid Width Signature bumper (Hopefully get some in the upcoming holiday weekend).
