Default 3.21 Gears on 35" Tires

I plan on installing a 3" lift and 35" tires on my 2016 JKU in a few months. Currently I have the basic 3.21 gears and was wondering if anyone runs these gears still while having 35" tires. Also, if it helps, it will be my daily driver. Thanks for the help!

I've been running 35s and 3.21 gears for about 3 months now and it's decent around town. On the highway I have to drop a gear (manual trans) to get up and decent hills. I don't think it's as bad as most people say. IMO.

You will get used to it but if and when you re-gear you will wonder why you didn't do it sooner!

I'm debating on just putting 3.88 gears in it when I do the lift and tires. What do you run or recommend?

I was running 35s and 3.21s for about 3-4 months and I got used to it and said to myself this isn't that bad compared to what everybody was saying, just didn't have 6th on the highway. I just regeared 2 weeks ago, best money I ever spent on the jeep. No way I could go back.

2012 2dr with 33" tires, auto, and 3:21. Gears. Hate it, saving now to make the change. Will probably switch to 35s at some point in time so can't decide between 4:56 and 4:88.

I'm doing it. I ran it with 33s for a year and a half and just put 35s on. I don't notice the difference going from 33s to 35s. It still takes more gas to get it going and down shifts alot. A re gear is in the future but for now it's still drivable.

I have been doing it for the last year and a half in my 2 door manual. I bought the jeep this way so I don't know the difference. Like some have said, it's not terrible, but I can see where it leaves a lot to be desired. I do notice while off-roading it takes a lot of gas to get up some hills while in 4-HI. I have even had to switch back to 2 wheel a couple times just to get up a hill.

As others have said, you get used to your own "normal". You don't realize what you're missing until you're in someone else's or you finally regear and then you wonder why you didn't do it sooner. If you plan on keeping the jeep for a while, it's ~$1500 well spent. although it might be bearable for a while, keep in mind the engine and tranny are working harder than necessary vs. being geared properly. At some point you'll want to address it.
